About Linda Hayman
Linda is a Certified Professional Coach and Coach Mentor with expertise in helping diverse clients discover new ways of achieving professional and personal goals. She has an extensive background in the corporate and nonprofit arenas across all sectors, from small businesses to global charities and corporations.
After spending most of my corporate working life in the United Kingdom, I moved back home to the USA in 2017 to be closer to my family. I was born in New York and am now living in the beautiful state of North Carolina.
I first experienced coaching when I was participating in a management development course years ago. At that time I was juggling a full-time professional career, bringing up two children and coping with frequent, debilitating migraine headaches. My husband worked away a great deal, which made things even more challenging.
My coach helped me to stand back and evaluate how things were going, to understand what choices I actually had, and to believe that change was possible to make my life much better. Instead of continuing to soldier on in my “uncomfortable comfort zone,” I changed my view of what I wanted from life and who I wanted to be. With the support of my coach I started taking steps to make positive changes—small steps at first, and then bigger ones. One of those big steps was to move from the corporate world into starting my own business, Blue River Coaching, in 2011.
As a coach I have been privileged to work with many clients, helping them overcome obstacles, discover new choices and take action to lead happier, healthier lives. I have also worked with business leaders in large corporations, as well smaller organizations, to help clarify goals, support emerging and existing leaders, improve communication, and build cohesive teams. I am passionate about what I do and very grateful to have the opportunity to help others create a better future.
